Preform / CSD / Bottle & Container Testing Systems
Industries We Serve
Built for Every Packaging Segment
From food & pharma to FMCG and e-commerce — our instruments cover the full spectrum of packaging quality requirements.
Inconsistent Wall Thickness Causing Bottle Failures
Uneven material distribution in PET bottles leads to weak spots, base failures, and burst pressure issues under CSD carbonation. Without real-time blowmolding monitoring, this reaches the filling line — and the consumer.
Material Waste from Unoptimized Blowmolding
Without real-time feedback from bottle measurements, blowmolders run at suboptimal settings — consuming excess resin in every bottle. Process Pilot® directly addresses this by continuously adjusting the blowmolder to target specifications.
CSD Containers Failing Under Real Filling Pressures
Standard burst testers don't replicate the abrupt non-linear pressure profile of a real CSD filling machine. Containers that pass lab testing still fail in the filler — unless tested with the PPT3000's Fill Ramp simulation.
Manual Preform Measurement Introducing Human Error
Manual dimensional measurement of PET preforms is time-consuming, inconsistent, and subject to operator variability. The Gawis 4D® eliminates all of this with automated 360° measurement — delivering repeatable data every time.
Lightweight Design Without Structural Validation
Lightweighting PET bottles without precise wall thickness verification risks structural failures at the filling line and in distribution. ThicknessPen® provides instant portable measurement at any point in production.
Missing Documentation for Customer & Regulatory Audits
Beverage brands and retailers require documented bottle quality data — burst pressure test records, dimensional measurement reports, and wall thickness data — as part of supplier qualification and ongoing QC audits.

FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Common questions from QC managers, procurement officers, and R&D teams.
What PET bottle and container testing systems does Flexitest supply?
How does the Process Pilot® differ from standard blowmolding monitoring?
Standard blowmolding monitoring tracks blowmolder performance indicators — temperature, pressure, timing. The Process Pilot® is fundamentally different: it controls the blowmolder based on direct feedback from actual bottle measurements. Wall thickness distribution is measured on produced bottles and the data is fed back to automatically adjust blowmolder settings in real-time, maintaining the process at optimum levels. This means the system responds to what is actually happening to the bottles — not just the machine settings — making it far more effective at ensuring consistent quality and enabling material reduction without compromising strength.
What does the Gawis 4D® measure on PET preforms and bottles?
The Gawis 4D® is an all-in-one measurement system. On PET preforms it measures: wall thickness at multiple points, gate area, body diameter, ovality, and inclination. On bottles it measures: sidewall thickness distribution, base clearance, diameter, ovality, and vertical inclination. The 360° rotating lift table captures measurements from every angle with automated precision — eliminating the inconsistency and time cost of manual measurement. The system delivers highly accurate and repeatable data that empowers manufacturers to perfect bottle and preform designs while maintaining exceptional production quality.
What makes the PPT3000 different from a standard burst pressure tester?
The C630H Heat Seal Tester creates seals under controlled temperature, pressure, and dwell time, and measures seal strength after cooling – giving the static seal strength and the sealing window curve. The C632M Hot Tack Tester measures seal strength while it is still hot – critical for FFS production lines where packages are handled immediately after sealing. Both are needed for complete seal qualification.
What is the delivery and installation process in India?
Standard delivery is 2–4 weeks from order confirmation. Flexitest manages logistics and last-mile delivery to your facility anywhere in India. A dedicated service engineer visits within 48 hours of instrument arrival for on-site installation, system configuration, and full operator training — at zero additional cost. Service engineers are based in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) are available for ongoing calibration verification and support.
Do all Flexitest instruments come with calibration certificates?
Yes. Every instrument supplied by Flexitest includes a factory calibration certificate traceable to international standards, plus method documentation for the applicable ASTM/ISO/BIS standard. AMC contracts include scheduled calibration visits. Standalone traceable calibration certificates are also available for audit purposes.
What is the delivery and installation lead time across India?
Stocked instruments: 2–4 weeks. Imported/customised: 6–10 weeks. Flexitest handles logistics, on-site installation, calibration, operator training & commissioning — all included at zero extra cost. Service engineers in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Pune, Hyderabad & Chennai.
